About the Role:
Grade Level (for internal use): 09
The Role: CREDit Graduate Program Analyst - Corporates
Program Overview:
When you join S&P Global Ratings, you join one of the world's leading providers of independent credit risk research and benchmarks. You are part of a team that produces high quality fundamental research based on established criteria.
Our CREDit Graduate Program is a two-year training and development opportunity with our next intake joining us in September 2026. CREDit Program Analysts are hired for a specific practice; however, you are expected to transition between practices as dictated by business demands. In your first year CREDit analysts focus on acquiring skills and knowledge from your home practice. In your second year CREDit analysts gain exposure to other practices through a mix of classroom training and small projects or short-term secondments. All analysts combine practical work experience with the completion of a relevant qualification. For example, this could be the CFA.
The Practice:
As a CREDit Analyst in Corporates, you will assigned to industry coverage groups, where you will have the opportunity to learn about and work with corporations ranging from ones that you've never heard of to those that you come across daily. You will be supporting the ratings process from the initial meetings with top level management teams to the final rating committees, where you can learn from knowledgeable veterans within S&P. Responsibilities include applying the S&P methodology to prepare models, drafting articles for publishing, assisting with research, as well as developing credit intuition and analytical opinions using both top-down and bottom-up research. Current placements include: Technology, Media & Telecom, Leisure & Entertainment, Consumer Products, Transportation, Autos & Defense, Healthcare, Capital Goods, Consumer Products, Retail & Restaurants, among others.
