We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable

Crackfiller/Mudder

to join our construction team in Saint John, NB. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing drywall surfaces for painting and finishing by filling cracks, holes, and joints, and applying coats of mud and tape. This role is critical to achieving a smooth, professional finish on all interior wall and ceiling surfaces.

Key Responsibilities:

Inspect drywall surfaces and identify imperfections, cracks, or gaps. Mix and apply drywall compound to seams, corners, and holes. Tape and embed drywall seams using proper techniques. Sand surfaces to ensure a smooth finish before painting or additional treatment. Apply multiple coats as required for a professional result. Maintain tools and equipment in good working order. Ensure adherence to all safety regulations on-site. Work collaboratively with other tradespeople to meet project deadlines.

Qualifications:

Minimum 2-3 years of experience in drywall taping, mudding, and crack filling. Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools used in drywall installation and finishing. Attention to detail and pride in delivering a high-quality finished product. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Physical stamina and manual dexterity for lifting, bending, and repetitive movements. Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Must be legally entitled to work in Canada (Valid Work Permit or Permanent Resident status).

Working Conditions:

Work performed on active construction sites. Exposure to dust and building materials. May require use of scaffolding or ladders. Protective equipment must be worn as required.

Pay: $20.00-$28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 55 per week
