Job Description

The CompanyOur Manufacturing client based in Burlington, Ontario is looking for a Package Designer. They will be starting on a 3 month initial contract and may have opportunities for extension. The ideal candidate will be able to train in-office in Burlington. This opportunity may have flexibility to work 4 days from home, and 1 day per week in office.The PositionThe Package Designer will be heavily focused on updating packaging designs to effective communicate brand identify and product messaging.Responsibilities:
- Conceptualize and design innovative packaging solutions that align with brand guidelines and marketing objectives.
- Collaborate with internal teams and clients to understand packaging requirements and project objectives.
- Develop packaging designs from initial concept to final production-ready artwork.
- Utilize Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to create high-quality packaging mockups, dielines, and prototypes.
- Ensure accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of packaging design, including layout, typography, and color.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in packaging design to maintain a competitive edge.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to present design concepts and gather feedback for refinement.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to project timelines and deadlines.- 3+ years of Packaging Design experience, ideally in a manufacturing, food and beverage environment or similar
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
- Familiar with 3D Works
- Strong understanding of print production processes and packaging materials.
- Excellent visual and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
- Attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality design solutions.
