qualified CPA
to join our team and play an integral role in client service and firm development.
Position Overview
We are looking for a
designated Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA)
who is detail-oriented, analytical, and eager to contribute to a collaborative team environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing client engagements, preparing financial statements, reviewing tax filings, and providing strategic financial guidance to clients.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and prepare
compilation engagements
for corporate clients.
Perform
review or assurance engagements
as needed (optional).
Prepare and review
corporate and personal income tax returns (T2 & T1)
.
Conduct
financial statement analysis
and ensure accuracy in reporting.
Provide
advisory services
to clients on business planning, structure, and tax strategies.
Supervise and mentor
CPA articling students
and junior staff.
Review
bookkeeping and working papers
prepared by team members.
Communicate with clients regarding accounting, tax, and compliance matters.
Contribute to firm development initiatives, including process improvement and client relationship management.
Qualifications
Must hold the
CPA designation
and be a
member in good standing
with
CPA Alberta or CPA British Columbia
.
Completion of a
four-year undergraduate degree
from a
Canadian university
(required).
Minimum
2-3 years of public practice experience
preferred.
Strong understanding of
Canadian tax law
,
ASPE
, and
GAAP
standards.
Proficiency in
QuickBooks
,
CaseWare
, and
Excel
.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
