Qualifications
We are looking for a therapist with the following credentials and experience:
Education
: Master's degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Counselling
Psychology, or a related field.
Licensure
: Registered member in good standing with OCSWSSW or CRPO.
Experience
: Minimum 2-3 years of clinical experience, specializing in couples therapy and relationship counselling.
Specialized Training
: Certification or advanced training in couples therapy modalities (e.g., Gottman Method, Emotionally Focused Therapy, etc.).
Commitment to Professional Development
: Demonstrated dedication to ongoing learning and ethical practice.
Key Competencies
Compassionate and Empathetic
: Ability to maintain neutrality while providing a safe, non-judgmental space for clients.
Clinical Expertise
: Skilled in assessment, treatment planning, and therapeutic techniques for couples facing communication challenges, intimacy concerns, infidelity, and conflict resolution.
Cultural Competence
: Ability to work effectively with couples from diverse backgrounds.
Strong Communication
: Clear, effective communication both with clients and within the team.
Organizational Skills
: Strong time management and ability to manage a caseload.
Job Expectations
Client Hours
: Provide at least 15 client hours per week.
Insurance
: Maintain personal liability insurance with coverage of at least $2 million.
Record Keeping
: Maintain accurate and timely client records.
Scheduling
: Manage your own schedule and communicate effectively with the team.
Technology
: Use the Jane scheduling software for appointments and billing.
Required Equipment
: You must bring your own computer and any other necessary tools for remote work.
Location
: You must be currently living and practicing in Ontario and licensed to practice the controlled act of social work or psychotherapy in the province.
