Inuvialuit Community Economic Development Organization (ICEDO) invites applications for a Country Food Processing Plant Operator in Inuvik, NT. Under the guidance of the Director of ICEDO, the applicant will be responsible for providing country food to all beneficiaries. The Country Food Processing Plant is key in providing country food to Inuvialuit in the ISR Communities. The ideal candidate will have the following combination of education, experience, and knowledge (please refer to job description for full details):

• Clean and maintain tools and equipment
• Ongoing follow-up with rules, regulations, and other relevant laws guiding country food production
• Inspect meat and other related products brought for processing
• Cuts meats, vacuum seals, labels and arrange for easy identification in the freezer
• Observe and maintain safety levels with particular attention to machinery and electrical equipment
• Manage inventory, and keep a record of the amount of distribution, product line, and freshness of products according to Inuvialuit and beneficiary requirements.

• Be open to completing training such as the food safety certification at any time
• Understand and comply with health and safety policies and procedures
• Ability to work as a member of the team and communicate effectively
• On-the-Job training will be provided, no previous experience is needed
• Work activities involve handling loads up to 20 kg
• Punctual and Reliable
• Awareness of Hygiene, both personal and work area
