MISSION
The Counsellor (MSW) plays a pivotal role in the Live-In Treatment program, providing therapeutic support and counselling to youth facing emotional, psychological, and social challenges. This role involves comprehensive assessments, treatment planning, and facilitating individual and group therapy sessions within a structured milieu environment.
The Pod Group is partnering with this organization to place a strong, determined, and strategic individual to fulfill the role of the Counsellor (MSW).
PRIORITIES
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to conduct comprehensive formulations and assessments of youth, identifying needs and developing individualized treatment plans.
Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including individual, family, and group therapy, to support youth and their families.
Effectively address crises, ensuring youth safety and well-being through de-escalation techniques and supportive interventions.
Facilitate life skills and coping skills training to assist residents in managing challenges and preparing for successful reintegration into the community.
Help youth and families navigate healthcare and community resources, advocating for their needs and rights within the community and the treatment program.
Partner with medical staff, psychologists, and other therapists to provide comprehensive care.
Actively participate in designing and implementing individualized, goal-oriented treatment programs for each child and their family.
Maintain accurate and timely records of therapeutic sessions, progress notes, and treatment plans in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
Participate in community education initiatives to promote mental health awareness and highlight the benefits of live-in treatment programs.
