About the Position
As a member of the counselling team at Family Services Ottawa (FSO) and under the supervision of the Clinical Manager, the Counsellor will be responsible for providing direct counselling services to a broad range of clients across FSO counselling programs, participating in clinical supervision and consultation, and any additional duties as required. Evening work (Tuesday 12-8 and Saturday 12-5 at least twice a month) is required.
About You
You have completed a master\xe2\x80\x99s degree in social work, Education in Counselling, Psychotherapy or equivalent. You are a member of a regulatory college (OCSWSSW, CRPO) and have maintained the right to practice the controlled act of psychotherapy within the province of Ontario. You have excellent oral and written communication skills in English. The ideal candidate will be able to offer counselling in both English and a second language, preferably one or more of Arabic, Farsi/Dari, Somali, Spanish or French. You have three (3) years of related counselling experience working with individuals, couples, families and/or groups.
