Do you want to be a part of driving the transition?Our Cost & Finance department in St. John's is now looking for a Cost Control Lead.The Cost Control Lead is accountable for all cost related functions; capturing project costs and ensuring all time, materials, services, and consumables are accurately reflected in client cost reporting and reconciled with Aker Solutions' revenue recognition and billings. They are directly responsible for the supervision and development of the Cost Controlling team.What will you be doing?

  • Interface with Aker Solutions Management and Project Managers to identify areas of concern, improvement, and opportunity.
  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders to ensure that projects are complying with internal reporting requirements.
  • Provide procedural and practical expert advice to projects regards to Internal Controls.
  • Compiling information supplied by estimating, procurement, construction, planning and engineering for cost forecasts.
  • Control of reimbursable man-hours, equipment and rentals, purchase of goods and services, and other reimbursable expenditures.
  • Management and coordination of client authorization / commitments.
  • Invoicing, management of accounts receivable and cash receipts according to monthly financial cycles.
  • Owner of for all invoicing of project costs to various clients and the collection of all accounts receivable.
  • Own and drive improvement in NCOA, ensuring a full understanding of the drivers for the segment and recommend and implement improvement agenda.
  • Own preparation of Revenue and Intake SAREPTA load files.
We think you should have:
  • Diploma or degree in business administration / accounting discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 10 years' experience within a senior cost control role.
  • Sound knowledge of general accounting and financial reporting requirements.
  • Demonstrable Financial Controlling and/or Reporting experience.
  • Experience in SAP is desirable.
