Therefore, we are seeking a Specialist xe2x80x93 Science Technology Management, PMO, Cost Control to join our growing team in Calgary, Alberta. This dynamic role will be instrumental in overseeing the processes, standards, and governance of Research & Development projects, IT Project Management and IT Budget and cost control. Working directly with the IT Leadership team, this position plays a key role in successfully delivering ITxe2x80x99s annual capital program, optimizing processes, coordinating strategic initiatives, and achieving ITxe2x80x99s key results.Your Background

  • Experience in Business Analysis or Project Management
  • Professional BA or PM certification is an asset
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with senior business leaders across IT, Finance, Operations, and Technical Services teams
  • Experience in facilitation and requirements gathering
  • Ability to derive insights from data and communicate ideas effectively
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills
  • Working experience of Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint, knowledge of PowerBI preferred
  • Familiarity with data visualization, data virtualization, data integration, and data warehousing tools and techniques.
  • Post Secondary Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
Your Role with Our Team
  • Oversee R&D Project collection, approval process, execution tracking
  • Lead the development and management of IT/Science Technology roadmaps
  • Coordinate IT budget & cost analysis, identifying opportunities for cost savings
  • Lead IT Project Management Office ensuring effective execution of ITxe2x80x99s annual Capital program
  • Support IT Leadership team to develop and execute short-term and long-term strategic initiatives
  • Monitor IT compliance with internal audit and IT governance and risk teams
  • Track progress of IT key performance indicators (KPIs) including operations, project execution, cost control, safety & security as well as KPIs from managed service providers
