The Corporate Technology Trainer is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering IT-focused training to adult learners across the organization. This includes creating training documentation, facilitating workshops, and ensuring the successful adoption of corporate systems, tools, and processes. The trainer plays a key role in empowering users with the knowledge and confidence to operate IT systems efficiently, contributing to digital transformation and operational effectiveness.
They will work closely with subject matter experts, project teams, and stakeholders to assess training needs, develop tailored content, and provide one-on-one or group instruction. Deliverables may include training manuals, job aids, e-learning modules, and presentations created using tools such as Microsoft Office and Visio.
Required Qualifications
Education
:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Sciences, Computer Science, or Software Engineering.
Skills
:
Strong communication, presentation, and facilitation abilities
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Microsoft Visio
Ability to develop instructional materials and adapt content for different learning audiences
Understanding of adult learning principles and digital adoption best practices
Preferred qualifications
Additional certifications or training in adult education, learning and development, or corporate training methodologies are strongly preferred.
Preference given to candidates with experience working with the
BC Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure (MOTI)
