About the Role




Reporting to the Regional HSE Manager, the Corporate Skills Trainer plays a key role in developing our people, ensuring employees are equipped with the technical skills and safety mindset to perform their roles with confidence and precision.


Key Responsibilities




Lead with Safety




Champion Procon's health and safety values across all training and operational activities. Ensure all training aligns with the legislative requirements and company HSE standards. Identify, correct, and prevent unsafe practices, supporting our commitment to zero harm.

Deliver Effective Training




Facilitate practical, hands-on training both underground and on surface, focused on skill development and compliance. Audit and track workforce competency, arranging retraining where needed to maintain certification, efficiency and compliance. Support the development of specialty programs for new technologies and equipment.

Technical Expertise




Deliver training on mobile and mechanized mining equipment, including Sandvik Robolters (DS 310, 312, 411, and 412). Maintain up-to-date knowledge of underground mining methods and equipment operation. Ensure training materials reflect the latest OEM standards and industry best practices. Maintain accurate training records using tools within Microsoft Office 365.

Collaborate for Success




Work closely with Corporate HSE and operational leaders to ensure alignment between training outcomes and project goals. Contribute to the continuous improvement of Procon's training frameworks and standards. Foster inclusion and respect across all training environments.

Pre-employment Requirements:




This position requires frequent air travel to remote site camps. Applicants must comply with air travel regulations and be willing to work both day and night shifts. As this is a safety-sensitive role, a background check, substance test, and pre-employment medical testing are mandatory.
