Corporate Social Responsibility Lead New Found Gold Corp is advancing its 100% owned 1,662km2 Queensway gold project, located on the Trans-Canada highway 15km west of Gander, Newfoundland. A 500,000m drill campaign is underway. Drilling is focused on a 9.5km corridor along the Appleton fault and a 12.4km corridor along the JBP fault. The company has made several high-grade gold discoveries along the Appleton Fault Zone including Keats, Golden Joint, and Lotto, and the recently announced Keats West and Iceberg zones. New Found Gold is aggressively drilling at Queensway North to further unlock discovery potential, while work is also underway to define additional drill targets on approximately 70km of prospective strike along the Appleton and JBP fault structures on the southern portion of the Queensway property. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Lead to join our team and help us lead the way in responsible mining. Job Summary: We are looking for a passionate and driven Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Lead to oversee and lead our corporate social responsibility initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CSR, a deep understanding of community engagement, and the ability to develop and implement strategies that enhance our company\'s reputation and positive impact on society. This is a permanent Newfoundland based position with significant time required in NFG\xe2\x80\x99s Gander Office and surrounding communities. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and implement the company\'s CSR strategy, policies, and initiatives in alignment with our business objectives and on stakeholder-identified assets, issues and needs. - Build and maintain strong relationships with local communities, government authorities, NGOs, and other stakeholders to ensure positive and collaborative engagement. - Lead community outreach programs and sustainability projects that benefit the communities near our mining operations. - Monitor and report on CSR performance, ensuring transparency and accountability in line with industry standards and regulatory requirements. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate CSR considerations into exploration, construction and mining plans, and stakeholder communications. - Provide subject matter experience to NFG, with a goal to influence the selection and execution of CSR initiatives. - Conduct regular assessments and audits of CSR activities and provide recommendations for improvement. - Represent the company at CSR-related conferences, events, and industry associations to stay current on best practices and emerging trends. - Engage with employees and promote a culture of social responsibility and sustainability within the organization. - Develop and present recommendations to senior leadership to support new CSR strategies and programs. - Create ESG-related external reports using international reporting frameworks and standards that are for internal and external communications. - Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Bachelor\'s degree in CSR, environmental sciences, sustainability, social sciences, or a related field. Master\'s degree preferred. Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in corporate social responsibility, preferably in the mining or natural resources industry. Strong knowledge of CSR principles, community engagement, and sustainability practices. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Experience compiling, presenting, organizing, and summarizing data to Senior leadership. Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with diverse stakeholders. Project management and reporting skills. Commitment to ethical business practices and social responsibility. Demonstrated ability to act honestly and with integrity at all times. Expertise and experience in managing relationships, networks, and teams that include a diverse group of people representatives. Proven effectiveness in driving complex multi-stakeholder planning processes and cross- team projects to desired results.
