The Position

  • As part of the Philanthropy team, the Corporate Partnerships Manager is responsible for the development and growth of a portfolio of corporate partnerships and contributing to the Corporate and overall Philanthropy team annual fundraising plans.
  • This position is often a first point of contact for prospective corporate donors. The incumbent will be responsible for new business development, including managing and soliciting employee giving programs, domestic corporate sponsorships, and matching one time gift programs.
  • A strong project manager, this role will be responsible for coordinating and executing against our signature Girls Belong Here initiative, a corporate executive takeover program that enables youth Ambassadors to step into leadership roles. In addition, responsibilities will include organizing and managing a corporate International Day of the Girl celebration each year. The incumbent will act as a key point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders and support the growth of the program.
What success looks like?
  • Cultivate new relationships with prospective partners and build financial partnerships to help further our mission, reaching a 6-figure financial target annually.
  • Responsible for the development and delivery of a corporate employee engagement program through online giving platforms like Benevity, Rallybound, etc., and live events like company lunch and learns and townhalls.
  • Organize, manage, support, and execute logistics planning for Girls Belong Here on International Day of the Girl and International Women\'s Day, meeting the expectations of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support corporate team members in managing their corporate partner relationships\' participation in Girls Belong Here
  • Collaborate with various internal teams (i.e., Marketing, Communications, Youth Engagement and Philanthropy) to identify partnership engagement opportunities.
  • Passion for gender equality, social justice and helping girls reach their full potential, which translates to inspiring others to join and support Plan International Canada
As our ideal candidate you will have:

A strong work ethic coupled with tact, diplomacy, initiative, resourcefulness, creativity and a positive, \xe2\x80\x9ccan do\xe2\x80\x9d attitude

Excellent organizational, research and project management skills with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy

Demonstrated successful management of multiple projects, simultaneously coordinating communication across departments and levels within the organization to ensure improved efficiency

Proven track record in fundraising with corporations or related experience in sales, marketing, business development or corporate account relations

Exemplary communication skills - written, oral and presentation including well developed networking ability

Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to inspire confidence and trust in corporate stakeholders and cooperation among staff colleagues

Demonstrated integrity and diplomacy with a professional presence and manner; capable of exercising independent judgment and flexibility

Superior listening skills with the ability to interpret the concerns and interests of corporations and employee groups, translating them into attractive opportunities for investment in Plan International Canada\'s priorities

A valid driver\'s license and ability to travel as required
