McKercher LLP is one of Saskatchewan\'s top ranked law firms and we are now recruiting for a full-time paraprofessional to join our Corporate department at our Reigna office. The right candidate will work as part of a team, as well as independently to ensure the work is completed. We will train the right candidate, but preference will be given to those who have 5 years or more working in a Corporate Legal Assistant capacity. The ideal candidate for this role will have experience and an understanding of:

  • Minimum 5 years\' experience working as a legal assistant, with a focus in Corporate Law
  • Responding to client inquiries over the phone or through email
  • Experience working with the ISC platform for Saskatchewan Corporate Registry and Land Titles Registry, and including but not limited to filings, submissions and reporting
  • Knowledge and experience with incorporations, business name registrations, extra-provincial registrations, limited partnership registrations, amalgamations, dissolutions and submissions of the same with Saskatchewan Corporate Registry and Corporations Canada
  • Drafting, editing and review of complex legal agreements and documents
  • Knowledge of the SEDI website and SEDAR platform, considered an asset
  • Knowledge of legal rules and Business Acts of procedure to ensure compliance
  • Proficiency in Adobe and Microsoft Office Suite package including, Word, Excel and Outlook
