Job title: Corporate In Class Driver Trainer Job Location: Baden Position Type: Onsite Shift Hours: Monday – Friday; 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. We Bring Food to Your Family’s Table The Erb Group of Companies is one of North America’s largest privately-owned refrigerated transportation providers. Its head office is based in New Hamburg, Ontario, with additional Canadian terminals in Baden, Toronto, Thunder Bay, North Bay, Ottawa, Montreal, Trenton, Winnipeg and a U.S. terminal in Elverson, PA. What Will You Do?

• Administer on-boarding / orientation of all new drivers at the Baden location
• Provides training in company policy, procedures for drivers, yard and dock staff
• Provides training in policy, procedures in compliance with all local, provincial/state and federal rules, regulations and laws.
• Conducts theoretical and initial and technical training classes for commercial vehicles, providing theory, simulation and practical applications for classes in Class A, and Class D Commercial motor Vehicles. (DCP Program)
• Uses established training materials to present formal class training exercises and lab work to students.
• Uses established training materials to present training exercises and practice in preparing students to safely operate a commercial motor vehicle.
• Provides hands-on training in advanced applications, training and testing preparations in Vehicle Inspection, Skills/ Maneuvers, Defensive Driving, Range and Road Driving Skills required to meet and or exceed requirements needed to successfully pass the Driver Certification Program.
• Must be willing to travel to other Erb Terminals
• All other duties as required.

Who Are We Looking For?

• Must hold a valid Class A Ontario Commercial Driver's License and have a good driving record.
• Fleet Driver Trainer Certification will be required.
• A minimum of 3 years of Class A CDL driving experience.
• Preferred Endorsements: Hazardous Materials, Z (Air Brake)
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Able to comply with Ministry of Transportation Medical Requirements
• Forklift Instructor Certification preferred.
• Be patient and a good leader to students
• Have strong verbal and written communication skills
• Must have basic computer capabilities
