You'll have a direct impact on business operations, working closely with multiple departments and external partners, ensuring smooth financial processes and fostering growth.What You'll Do:- Manage the full accounting cycle for three companies, ensuring transactions are recorded accurately and in accordance with ASPE.
- Lead a team of 6 accounting professionals (3 direct reports and 3 indirect) and guide them to excellence.
- Prepare monthly reconciliations, cash flow forecasts, and quarterly royalty reports.
- Be a key point of contact for auditors, external consultants, and your finance team, ensuring smooth year-end reviews and complex accounting transactions.
- Collaborate with multiple departments (AP, AR, payroll, credit) to streamline accounting functions and resolve any issues.
- Ensure timely payments to vendors, collections of past-due amounts, and maintenance of proper insurance coverage.
- Work closely with the President and owners to offer strategic financial advice and contribute to decision-making on budgets, insurance, and financial reports.
- Support the creation of customized reports for managers and stakeholders and provide valuable insights into the company's financial performance.What We're Looking For:- A skilled professional with a comprehensive understanding of accounting practices, ASPE, and financial forecasting.
- Proven leadership and team management experience.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with senior management, external partners, and internal teams.
- Strong experience with ERP systems and a knack for resolving operational and HR-related issues.
- Experience working with treasury functions, sales tax, and government reports.
