Job Description

OverviewAvison Young\'s corporate accounting division is currently searching for a talented individual to join the corporate accounting team in Toronto. In this role, you will become an integral part of our valuation accounting group who will be completing a variety of accounting and reporting responsibilities for our Toronto office.Responsibilities

• Review and approve cash receipt application in Netsuite
• Review of A/P coding
• Review and approve corporate invoices
• Complete monthly revenue schedules by region
• Complete balance sheet supporting schedules by region
• Review management fee calculation and follow up with PM accounting group as required
• Prepare or review journal entries
• Prepare financial statements by region
• Complete variance analysis based on criteria provided
• Prepare allocation journal entries between the regions
• Assist with revenue forecasts
• Assist with budget preparation
• Assist with audit inquiries
• Complete financial analysis as required
• Assist with other reasonable duties that may arise

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of accounting experience required; experience in Commercial Real Estate/Appraisal and Valuation industry considered an asset
• Strong analytical, organization, communication, proofreading and editing skills
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office, strong Excel skills required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Organized and able to work independently as well as collaboratively as part of a team
• Must be proactive with a keen sense of urgency
