Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. As the Accountant, you will report directly to the Manager, Accounting and be responsible for the timely and accurate completion of various accounting activities for an assigned portfolio of real estate investments. You will be responsible for ensuring financial reporting is timely, accurate and completed in compliance with company\'s accounting policies and procedures. Duties include, but are not limited to, maintaining day-to-day general ledger transactions, financial reporting, reconciliations and compliance processes, accounts payable, GST/HST and QST reconciliations and filing, budgeting/forecasting and variance analysis, and support to the quarterly/annual audit process. The ideal candidate will have a degree in accounting or finance and relevant accounting experience from any industry. Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well in a team environment are essential.

Requirements for the Corporate Accountant position include:
1. Bachelor\'s degree in accounting or finance
2. 2+ years of accounting experience
3. Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
4. Ability to maintain accurate and transparent accounting records
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
6. Experience with budgeting/forecasting and variance analysis
7. Familiarity with GST/HST and QST reconciliations and filing
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
