About the Opportunity




Zen Residential is seeking a Corporate Accountant to join our Head Office team in Edmonton. This role is central to managing the corporate books and supporting a range of essential financial functions. The ideal candidate brings strong experience in corporate accounting and is looking to grow within a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You'll play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, supporting treasury and audit functions, and contributing to process improvement across the organization.

Key Responsibilities



Corporate Accounting & Financial Reporting



Manage full-cycle accounting for corporate entities, including accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and general ledger activities Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial and management reports Produce consolidated financial statements across multiple entities Execute indirect and overhead cost allocations in accordance with internal policies

Treasury, Payroll & Audit Support



Assist with treasury operations including bank reconciliations, internal transfers, and monitoring cash flow Support payroll accounting through accurate classification and reconciliation of payroll entries Coordinate with auditors and provide required schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation

Compliance & Internal Controls



Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal policies, and regulatory requirements Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to the enhancement of internal controls

What You Bring



Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 3+ years of progressive experience in corporate or full-cycle accounting Experience with financial reporting, consolidations, and cost allocations Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks or similar ERP systems) and Microsoft Excel CPA designation is considered an asset, but not required Strong attention to detail, time management, and analytical skills Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset
