The Company and The Role
A mid-sized private company with diversified interests in real estate and retail operations is seeking a Corporate Accountant to be part of their finance team. Working in an entrepreneurial environment, you will be supporting the Finance Leader in all aspects of finance, from full cycle accounting including including month-end close processes, tax filings, AP processing and review, rent collection, CAM reconciliation, and assisting with budgets and forecasts. You will assist in the implementation of Netsuite ERP as they convert from QuickBooks and help streamline accounting processes in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
What makes you a fit:

• 3+ years of experience in full cycle accounting experience including the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for a mid-sized private company.

• Has assisted in developing and monitoring budgets and forecasts, including performing variance analysis.

• Ability to adapt to new systems and be comfortable with navigating change
• Possesses a process improvement mindset and has demonstrated initiative in recommending and implementing new processes.
• Experience in audit coordination and managing tax filings and compliance, including preparation of GST/HST returns
