The Company:

Our client is a multinational, privately owned company headquartered in the Halton region. Boasting several different lines of business, due to exciting growth, our client is adding a Corporate Accountant to the team. The Corporate Accountant reports to the Manager of Corporate Accounting. This is a hybrid role which requires 3 days/week onsite.

The Role:

The Corporate Accountant is a key business partner to the business and a part of the Corporate Team. As the Corporate Accountant, you will prepare financial statements and perform monthly variance of actual results against budget and prior year. You will support the annual budgeting process. You will participate in the annual audit as well as assist with tax issues as required. You will also assist with cash flow forecasts and other adhoc reporting and projects as required.

What do You bring to the Role:

To be considered for this exciting new position, you must be a designated CPA. The client will also consider late stage CPA candidates for the role of Corporate Accountant (writing the CFE within the next 12 months). You are an independent worker and self starter. You will draw upon your solid foundation of financial accounting experience and knowledge to help recommend process improvements and support the various business units. You are someone who enjoys assisting the team with the month end close, financial statement preparation and variance analysis.

- 5+ years of accounting experience
- CPA designation or late stages of the program
- Strong Excel skills
- ERP experience
- Strong knowledge and experience in financial statement preparation, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis
- Strong business acumen and ability to support Senior Management and Operations with data to make decisions
- Mindset of continuous process improvements
