JOB SUMMARY

We are searching for a dynamic leader to plant their roots with us as a

Coordinator, Propagation

. In this role, you will be responsible for managing our propagation team with the goal of delivering quality crops and trials and clones on time.

Reporting to the Director, Cultivation, you will support and implement best practices and Standard Operating Procedures.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

? Hands-on leadership, training and coaching of direct reports to achieve Safety, Quality, Cost and Employee Engagement Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) across our Cultivation team.

? Provide open and honest communication to the cultivation team and provide fair and balanced performance feedback to staff on a regular basis to encourage and motivate the team and create a positive work environment.

? Encourage employee involvement to achieve shared organizational objectives.

? Recognize unsafe conditions and practices and make corrections to prevent injuries and lost time. Work with supervisors to maintain a safe working environment, including effective control of hazards.

? Support completion of safety inspections in all Cultivation areas and drive effective investigation and inspection programs.

? Collaborate and effectively communicate with the leadership team, and any other internal or external stakeholders as needed. Escalate all issues with a crop and/or the production process to all the relevant parties.

? Recommend, perform, and coordinate corrective and preventative actions to address issues and drive continuous improvement.

? Monitor daily activities to determine opportunities for improvement in productivity, efficiency, and quality.

? Along with the IPM team, coordinate timely and effective pest and disease control measures as required.

? Work closely with Operations Manager and extended team to ensure the production plan is maintained.

? Must adhere to Segra SOPs, ISO requirements, Occupational Health and Safety Act, Health Canada's Cannabis Act, and any additional regulatory or customer requirements for regions supplied by the Segra facility (for example - CUMCS, GACP, EU GMP where applicable).

? Promote and maintain GACP and IMC GAP requirements across the Cultivation department.

? Position details and activities may change from time to time to meet operational needs.

? Excellent organizational skills and the ability to achieve objectives.

? Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.?

? Intermediate to excellent computer skills in MS Office

? Excellent time management, leadership, decision making, and interpersonal skills.

? Knowledge with climate control systems.?

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

.

? Must have experience managing/supervising a team of up to 10.

? 2-5 years of commercial plant propagation is an asset

? Experience or desire to work in an indoor labor or farming environment

? Experience with plant life is an asset (greenhouse, landscaping, farming)

? Ability to work in environments with pollen and plant debris

? Be a self-starter with a positive attitude and desire to work in a team environment to achieve overall goals

? Ability to comfortably and safely lift up to 30 lbs.

? Ability to comfortably work in temperatures up to 30 degrees Celsius

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
