We are looking for 2 Operations Support Coordinators to provide a broad range of administrative support to operational departments and leadership, maximizing the productivity and effectiveness of the business.

This position will be reporting to the Supervisor of Personnel Logistics & CMX with functional accountability to either Surface & Process Operations or Underground Operations. Successful applicants will cross train across various other operational areas for coverage and success within the team. You will be located at the Lac de Gras Mine site and will work a 2 week on / 2 week off rotation.

You will be responsible for:
  • Encouraging benefit program enrollment by directing employees to on-site resources.
  • Inputting employee expense claims on behalf of leaders.
  • Coordination of personal protective equipment and other items for new hires.
  • Assisting in coordination of initial and ongoing on-site training.
  • Tracking of department progression plans.
  • Coordinating leave & overtime requests with Human Resources and Travel.
  • Reviewing travel manifests for accuracy & communicating travel requirements to leaders.
  • Compiling and submitting orders for personal molded ear plugs and safety glasses.
  • Assisting with the booking of on-site audiometric & pulmonary testing for employees.
  • Assisting with communication of & adherence to Diavik Document Control process.
  • Maintaining departmental organizational structures.
  • Attending department pre-start meetings.
  • Department specific data entry.
  • Other duties as required.
What you\xe2\x80\x99ll bring
  • A strong commitment to the safety of both you and your team
  • At least two (2) years of administrative experience, ideally in a remote/FIFO work setting.
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, ability to multitask effectively and prioritize daily.
  • Comfortable providing training to colleagues & leadership within operational groups.
  • Proven proficiency in office management procedures and protocols, including data entry.
  • A keen attention to detail and the ability to maintain a high level of accuracy.
  • Proven ability to work effectively both independently and as a member of a team.
  • Experience in Document Control would be an asset.
  • Experience using SAP would be an asset.
  • Post-secondary education, or the desire to attain such a qualification, would be an asset.
Northern residency and experience working in a cross-cultural environment, coupled with knowledge of the unique challenges and opportunities presented to those living in the North, are assets.
