Position Overview:

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Operations Support Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and supporting the daily activities of operations including all payroll duties and administrative tasks, while providing administrative assistance in a variety of special projects. This position will be based in Kitchener.

Primary Responsibilities

Administrative

  • Directs the activities of staff, ensuring that drivers are meeting the standards set out in various Transit contracts and ensuring business activities continue to be managed during staff vacation/sick leaves
  • Performing administrative tasks, such as making travel arrangements, answering phones, scheduling meetings, etc.
  • Planning and organizing conferences, events, staff training, and employee engagement activities.
  • Preparing and maintaining operations documents and reports.
  • Manage operational tasks under the direction of managers
  • Handles logistical responsibilities, including, customer service, order entry, answering phones calls for transit operations, client services and quality management
Communication
  • Execute sound judgement and excellent customer service
  • Communicating with internal and external stakeholders in order to accomplish various tasks
  • Provide data to internal support departments for KPIs and compliance
Payroll
  • Execute sound judgement and excellent customer service
  • Communicating with internal and external stakeholders in order to accomplish various tasks
  • Provide data to internal support departments for KPIs and compliance
Onboarding
  • Assist with and help co-ordinate new driver on-boarding as needed
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will posses the following qualifications that include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent is required
  • 1-2 years\' relevant experience preferred
  • Minimum valid G Driver\'s License
  • Clean Drivers Abstract
  • Strong communication skills are required
  • Enhanced knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook applications and technology
  • Strong, proven customer service experience
  • Experience in office management or an administrative role.
  • Experience in payroll administration
