Your Opportunity:

Coordinator, Navigation Resources will provide strategic support to the Manager - Business, Technology and Information Services at Health Link. You will be responsible for ensuring that datasets adhere with policies and standards, including maintaining documentation, interpreting instructions and providing end-user education. This position applies expertise in information management standards, best practices and procedures to collect, process, store, display and disseminate information throughout its lifecycle. The Coordinator will also be responsible for analysis of records management, database enhancements and assist with evaluating supporting documentation to ensure that it meets business needs. Position can be located at either Edmonton or Calgary Health Link Site.

Description:

This opportunity will appeal to individuals who are adept at building strong relationships with stakeholders. The Coordinator, Navigation Resources position is integral to the delivery of the Health Link service and meeting the health information needs of Albertans. Coordinators update and maintain an inventory of all Alberta Health Services (AHS) services on InformAlberta that feeds the AHS website and MyHealth.Alberta.ca website. They prepare reports for data quality audits in addition to information analytics (i.e.: trends, content usage) to manage data quality, as well as follows and enforces data quality control standards and measures. The coordinator will have a strong understanding of information taxonomies and keyword systems to maximize high quality database and web search results and will plan and coordinate the implementation of database enhancements, including the development of test scripts and coordination of user acceptance testing. Coordinators are responsible for developing and maintaining supporting documentation and providing end user education. They liaise with AHS Web Communications, IT, other departments and Community Partners, to maintain and enhance the InformAlberta website. They also post and manages content on the Health Link intranet, as well as assists in the development and implementation of processes to manage web content through its life cycle. The coordinator is also responsible for recommending content format, structure and functionality of the intranet to enhance user experience and ensure access to information in an effective and efficient manner.

Required Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, the Coordinator, Navigation Resources will have an eye for detail, strong interpersonal and relationship management skills, and excellent written and verbal communications coupled with decision-making and problem-solving skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently within tight timelines and to effectively manage internal/external resources to achieve organizational goals with strong attention to accuracy and detail. Well-developed written and verbal communication, interpersonal and team-work skills, and an ability to maintain confidentiality and use appropriate discretion will contribute to your success. A Diploma or certificate in Information Technology, database management and/or related fields is a must; an equivalent combination of directly related experience and education may be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:

Strong web publishing skills that are complemented with project management experience will be considered an asset as the Coordinator, Navigation Resources works with a variety of stakeholders at various levels to maintain and enhance web-based solutions, website functionality and user experience.
