Term of Employment: Full-time, Continuing
Rate of Pay: Band 6: $38.31 - $41.84 per hour (Subject to CUPE 1015 Agreement)
Location: Servus Sports Centre
Duties:The Coordinator, Corporate Partnerships is responsible for developing, creating, generating and implementing alternative revenue sources including sponsorship, advertising, philanthropy and fundraising initiatives. The coordinator proactively seeks opportunities to match new and existing clients with mutually beneficial opportunities, which may include Sponsorship, facility advertising, facility naming-rights agreements, etc. Additionally, the Coordinator supports clients by facilitating agreements, invoicing and overseeing activation and installation of signage/advertising. The coordinator must build and facilitate relationships with and between the asset manager and the corporate partner.Strategy Development

  • Annually develops and implements sponsorship, sales, donation, and advertising business plans in accordance with City of Lloydminster policies and department needs.
  • Generates advertising, sponsorship, philanthropic and fundraising revenue of Lloydminster assets including recreation facilities (existing and new), program events, festivals, arts and culture initiatives, parks and other corporate assets and services.
  • Researches, develops, and refines possible assets and costing.
  • Works closely with City personnel including asset managers with alternative revenue including, recreation culture, new recreation/culture/parks facility builds, events, golf course, fitness passes and other corporate assets.
  • Directs the development and implementation of consistent processes, standards, and measurements for sponsorship programs across all City Assets, programs, and events.
Business Relations
  • Develops client proposals and collateral sales and marketing materials appropriate to particular facility, programs, event, asset and/or initiative.
  • Manages all aspects of client relations to ensure customer satisfaction and maximum account value including preparation and presentation of sponsorship assets.
  • Oversee fulfillment of agreements, ensure proper communication, monitoring, reporting, and coordinate the preparation and administration of all agreements, invoices, collections, and account financials.
  • Builds and fosters client network of referrals to ensure repeat customers while creating new opportunities for revenue growth.
  • Creates and provides brand awareness and advises on possible activation for partners.
  • Actively seeks to develop long-term, repeat business relationships with existing and new clients, in alignment to the long-term strategy of the business.
  • Creates and provides metrics and advises clients on current advertising/sponsorship assets and suggests additional possible assets when needed.
  • Creates and presents high-level sponsorship presentations and packages to existing and new businesses.
  • Develops and implements a marketing strategy in consultation with the asset manager and communication department.
  • Ensures sponsorship proposals are in line with client needs over the length of the agreement.
Asset Coordination
  • Coordinates and implements client\xe2\x80\x99s signage, recognition, and other deliverables particular to sponsor agreement and City venues.
  • Communicates with internal employees and ensures deliverables are possible within facilities and asset locations.
  • Supports community events by ensuring sponsor activation events are a success and helps create marketing promotion within the events.
  • Liaison with internal stakeholders as appropriate, in relation to proposals, projects, financial, or other related matters.
  • Works closely with asset manager to create reporting tools and metrics to provide feedback to sponsors.
Administration
  • Creates, monitors, and renews new and existing agreements.
  • Maintains and updates an inventory of City advertising and sponsorship inventory.
  • Manages and organizes agreements and plans relating to sponsorships.
  • Provides estimations of annual revenue for asset manager.
  • Prepares statistical and data reports as required.
  • Oversees and/or administer agreements, invoices, and coordinates advertising installations.
Other
  • Other related duties as required.
Schedule:
This position is office based, majority of working hours are between 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. with the requirement to work outside these standard hours during special events.
Qualifications:
  • Completion of a two-year post-secondary diploma in Business Administration, Marketing or a related field from a recognized institution.
  • Five years of experience creating, presenting proposals, and delivering on outcomes.
  • A minimum of five years experience negotiating corporate partnerships or sales is required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including proficiency in drafting or modifying agreements and contracts.
  • Ability to converse both verbally and in written correspondence with all levels of staff as well as external stakeholders or partners.
  • Ability to provide presentations to community business leaders.
  • Self-motivated with an ability to work independently.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to excel at building internal and external relationships and work as a team player.
  • Must have strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Suite including: Office, Word and Excel.
  • Proven professionalism and excellent work ethic with the ability to maintain a high standard of confidentiality.
  • Ability to multi-task, work within tight timelines and manage multiple priorities.
  • A valid Class 5 Drivers License registered in Alberta or Saskatchewan with an acceptable Drivers Abstract is required. This position will be required to operate a personal vehicle for business purposes.
