Ready to build your career? We want to hear from you.
The General Scheduling Coordinator (OPC) plays a central role in planning, coordinating, monitoring timelines, and managing interfaces between the various stakeholders of the project. From the Design Phase through to the Construction Phase, including testing and commissioning, the General OPC manages both internal and external interfaces in multi-contract, multi-disciplinary projects.

As part of Pomerleau's Technical Management team, you will play a key role in fostering collaboration and communication on our large-scale construction projects valued at $500M and above. You will provide support to directors, project managers, and superintendents in developing the project strategy during the pre-construction phase. You will also monitor its implementation during the construction phase in collaboration with the different project stakeholders.
What you will do

Work in the best interest of the overall project, seeking optimizations and measures to mitigate risks. Communicate to the client the issues to be addressed and the actions required to resolve interface problems. Lead OPC Committees to analyze and resolve scheduling issues and ensure follow-up on actions. Gather all scheduling data from various stakeholders and validate external interfaces with the client. Develop and monitor coordination schedules for planned construction activities, mobility maintenance operations, and third-party interventions on site. Ensure the implementation of digital services (such as BIM/GIS 4D) to optimize work. Coordinate plans and actions between internal, external, and outside entities. Verify authorizations before starting interventions. Generate reports detailing the different interfaces, including KPI tracking. Facilitate interface meetings between the various contract stakeholders. Communicate interface points to all parties and consider their needs to anticipate potential issues. Analyze and provide input on different spatial-temporal phasing strategies to ensure consistency. Identify gaps and changes, and coordinate with stakeholders to find solutions to eliminate discrepancies or mitigate complex situations. Stay up to date with technological advancements - integrate lean, agile methods or new technologies (cloud, automation, AI in planning). Report key issues and major events directly to project directors for escalation to executive committees. Prepare insurance claim files following damage to public property. Participate in various organizational committees to inform and stay informed about different aspects of the projects.
