As a Co-ordinator - Building Information Modellingwithin our Facilities Management Department, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining digital building information systems to support facilities planning, operations, and asset lifecycle management. They ensure accurate, accessible models, establish BIM standards, integrate data with asset systems and collaborate with stakeholders to optimize performance and decision-making.
What will your typical day look like?
Coordinates, updates, and maintains AutoCAD archive drawings and Building Information Models (BIMs) across architectural, structural, and mechanical/electrical disciplines, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with established BIM Execution Plans (BEPs) and organizational information per Peel Regional Police (PRP) facilities standards. Reviews incoming design models and data submissions for quality, completeness, and adherence to project requirements, ensuring proper setup, integration, and file management within the common data environment. Maintains master archive drawing sets in AutoCAD and Revit.
Performs clash detection and model audits to identify conflicts and data inconsistencies; collaborates with consultants, contractors, and internal teams to resolve issues and ensure correct use of record set as-built drawings for future projects. Works independently and/or with consultants in the creation of existing facility generated 3D scans to turn into BIM models where new technology is required. Conducts site visits for site verification of drawing as-built data to keep AutoCAD and BIM information up to date. Generates model-based reports, schedules, and visual outputs to support project planning, design reviews, tendering, and construction delivery.
Provides day-to-day technical support for project teams, assisting with AutoCAD and BIM tools, workflows, and processes, while promoting the consistent application of best practices. Liaises with architects, engineers, contractors, and facilities staff to coordinate model and drawing updates, exchange data, and support integrated project delivery. Enters and maintains model-related asset data for integration into Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) and facilities systems, ensuring accurate transfer of information for long-term operations and asset management. Supports the creation and modification of AutoCAD digital drawings and 3D visualizations for use in project documentation and stakeholder communication.
Assists the Supervisor - BIM and Facilities Asset Management with developing AutoCAD and BIM standards, implementing process improvements, and evaluating new technologies and methods to enhance project outcomes. Coordinates with planning, design, and construction groups to support the full lifecycle of capital projects, from early feasibility and design through to construction and turnover. Prepares and maintains accurate project records, ensuring model data is available and usable for operations, maintenance, and future renovation work. Creates user friendly reports from BIM models in the aid of creating energy audits/reports for future planning activities.
Supports training and onboarding of staff on AutoCAD and BIM-related tools and procedures, ensuring effective adoption across teams.
Performs additional duties as assigned.

You are someone with:
A College Diploma or a Degree in Architectural Technology, Engineering, Construction Management, Building Science or equivalent, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certification and/or training in AutoCAD Revit, Navisworks, or other BIM-related applications or related digital design software required.
A minimum of three (3) years of related experience in BIM for large construction projects and facilities.
Demonstrated advanced knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit.
Demonstrated experience of building systems and components in facilities, construction, architectural, structural electrical or mechanical design environment.
Knowledge of construction processes, project delivery methods, and BIM management systems preferred.
Familiarity with industry BIM standards, Ontario Building Code, and applicable regulations is an asset.

What we offer
The
salary range for this permanent, full-time position
is
$63,103.00 to $
98,976.00
per annum. Peel Regional Police offers a highly competitive compensation package; applicants will be considered for the top end of the range
($74,576.00 - $98,976.00)
based on experience. The salary is complemented with a comprehensive benefit program, including employer-paid Health/Dental and Life Insurance; and the OMERS Pension Plan effective upon hire.
