As a

Supervisor - Building Information Modelling

within our Facilities Management Department, you will be responsible for leading the development, coordination, and optimization of BIM processes for Facilities Management. They ensure data accuracy, compliance with standards, and effective collaboration, while guiding a team of BIM specialists and driving innovation through advanced digital tools and emerging BIM practices.




What will your typical day look like?



Develops, implements, and maintains BIM standards, guidelines, and best practices to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance across all projects. Coordinates BIM processes between design consultants, contractors, and stakeholders, facilitating model integration, clash detection, and interdisciplinary collaboration to improve project delivery and reduce risks. Acts as a primary liaison between project teams and leadership, translating technical data into clear insights that support informed decision-making; provides leadership and mentorship to BIM Coordinators, offers training and support to the internal Facilities team; fosters a culture of continuous learning, ensuring that staff stay current with evolving technologies and methodologies. Manages BIM software platforms and digital tools, oversees licensing and deployment, and collaborates with IT Services and vendors to ensure systems run efficiently; maintains file and data management processes, establishes version control protocols, ensures secure file-sharing systems, and safeguards data integrity across all projects. Monitors BIM deliverables, conducts regular audits and reviews, and ensures compliance with organizational and industry standards; integrates energy modeling and sustainability analysis into BIM workflows, helps project teams achieve higher levels of environmental performance and meet certification targets such as LEED or WELL. Takes accountability for evaluating project risks, identifying potential conflicts at an early stage and recommending corrective actions to maintain project timelines and budgets. Drives innovation by researching and implementing emerging technologies including digital twins, AR/VR visualization, AI-driven simulations, and integrated facility management application to continuously enhance project efficiency, collaboration, and lifecycle management. Ensures the organization remains competitive and positioned as a leader in digital construction delivery by staying ahead of industry trends. Performs additional duties as assigned.

You are someone with:



A College Diploma or a Degree in Building Science, Civil Engineering, Architectural, Mechanical, or Electrical Technology or equivalent, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Additional certifications in BIM-related applications (e.g. Autodesk, buildingSMART) required. A minimum of five (5) years of related experience in BIM, including implementing BIM workflows, managing project models, and leading BIM coordination across multidisciplinary teams, with relevant engineering or construction experience in a related discipline. Advanced proficiency in BIM software, including Revit and AutoCAD, with proven ability to develop, maintain, and enforce BIM standards and templates for project delivery. Advanced proficiency in digital collaboration tools, cloud-based platforms, and MS Office applications to support team coordination, reporting, and project documentation. Strong knowledge of building science and systems, with experience integrating structural, mechanical, electrical, and architectural models for clash detection and design optimization. Demonstrated ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex multi-discipline engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to support coordinated model development. Proven project and change management experience, including planning BIM deliverables, monitoring progress, and implementing process improvements to meet project goals. Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify design conflicts, propose solutions, and streamline workflows for efficiency and quality. Effective communication and leadership skills, capable of mentoring BIM specialists, training project teams, and facilitation collaboration between stakeholders at all levels. Excellent organizational skills, including managing multiple models, tracking deliverables, and ensuring compliance with organizational and industry standards. Experience developing and delivering BIM training programs and onboarding new team members to enhance organizational capability. Valid Ontario Driver's Licence (Class G) with full driving privileges.


What we offer




The

salary range for this permanent, full-time position

is

$87,503.00 to $147,433.0

per annum. Peel Regional Police offers a highly competitive compensation package; applicants will be considered for the top end of the range

($120,895.00 - $147,433.00)

based on experience. The salary is complemented with a comprehensive benefit program, including employer-paid Health/Dental and Life Insurance; and the OMERS Pension Plan effective upon hire.
