Job Summary:


The Co-op student will report directly to a Sr. Scientist and focus on developing novel therapies for significant diseases with no present therapy available. We are currently seeking to fill one, 4-month term position with the possibility of extension to an 8-month work term. This is a position in our Montreal adMare BioInnovations site.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop a cell-based assay for analysis of therapeutic peptide function
  • Utilize molecular biology techniques such as western blot and QPCR to evaluate functional targets
  • Evaluate several novel targets within a CRISPR isogenic disease model in vitro
  • Collaborate with and across multiple disciplines to analyze and test novel therapeutics
  • The student will also have several opportunities to present their data in lab meetings both in Montreal and in collaboration with our Vancouver site.


Experience & Qualifications:
  • Enrollment in an undergraduate program in Cell biology, Pharmacology, Biochemistry or Physiology
  • We are looking for candidates who have had at least 1 work term in an academic or industrial setting
