This position is being funded by the Canada Summer Jobs Program. Eligibility criteria:
(a) is between 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive) at the start of employment;

Responsibilities: \xc2\xb7 Preparation and testing of all kit components; \xc2\xb7 Preparation of wash buffer and stopping solution; \xc2\xb7 Dispensing of wash buffer, substrate and stopping solution for common use; \xc2\xb7 Dispensing of reagent; \xc2\xb7 Uses and maintains appropriate machinery, tools, materials, and instruments; \xc2\xb7 Labeling; \xc2\xb7 Bagging plates; \xc2\xb7 Prepares, washes, scrubs and dries glassware; \xc2\xb7 Follows established manufacturing and development procedures and assists in the development and documentation of new and scaled up production processes; \xc2\xb7 Initiate and complete routine procedures, troubleshoot scientific problems, and interpret outcome of experiments in an independent and efficient manner; \xc2\xb7 Perform quality testing according to procedures; analyze data, document, and track results to ensure consistent product quality; \xc2\xb7 Completes different forms and prepares quality control documents; \xc2\xb7 Participates in taking inventory. Maintains storage area, organizes and places stock on shelves. Ensures area is secure at all times \xc2\xb7 Unpacks merchandise. Verifies the quality and quantity of items against supporting documents; \xc2\xb7 Upkeep of overall cleanliness of laboratory and packaging area; \xc2\xb7 Ensures area is secure at all times. Qualifications \xc2\xb7 Verbal, written, and organizational skills at an above average level with strong attention to detail; \xc2\xb7 Knowledge of ELISA assays; \xc2\xb7 Color distinction; \xc2\xb7 Excellent communication skills; \xc2\xb7 Possess skills for pipet use; \xc2\xb7 Ability to work in a very fast-paced team environment and adapt to variable activities; \xc2\xb7 Knowledge of laboratory safety; \xc2\xb7 Outstanding organizational and time management skills; \xc2\xb7 Ability to prioritize day effectively, meet deadlines and multi-task; \xc2\xb7 Ability to work independently but also a team player; \xc2\xb7 Good communication, customer service, and relationship-building skills; \xc2\xb7 Flexibility; \xc2\xb7 Able to work in a strictly confidential and professional manner; \xc2\xb7 Ability to be proactive and use your initiative; Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 4 months Salary: $16.00-$18.00 per hour Schedule:
