Co-op Human Resources

. This position reports to Human Resources - Director and will work in Vancouver, B.C.


Please note that this position is open to current students enrolled in a Canadian accredited university and co-op program.

Dometic Marine's headquarters are in Vancouver, British Columbia in Canada. The facility develops and manufactures hydraulic, electronic, and combustion-based products.



As

Co-op Human Resources

on the Vancouver team, you will be involved in a wide variety of tasks supporting administrative, engineering, and technical staff throughout the facility.


General Responsibilities



Support actions that require a high level of confidentiality, attention to detail, and accuracy. Exposure to and involvement in various areas of Human Resources: + Assisting with administration and development of the student co-op program.
+ Exposure to programs and administration of benefits of Dometic (group savings, MSP, and more).
+ Direct involvement with recruitment and onboarding; testing/interview, new hire documentation, onboarding presentation.
+ Interdepartmental coordination for new hires (IT, Finance, Operations, etc.)
+ Partake in employee engagement initiatives.
+ Exposure to health & safety programs and initiatives within Dometic (such as WSBC, WHMIS Training, etc.)
Support the team by managing HR file management and auditing. Coordinate or assist in annual Dometic events. Admin support/Reception back-up for break coverage; answering phones, and email requests. Other projects and assignments as assigned.

Skills & Requirements





The ideal candidate for this role will have acquired the following qualifications and experiences:


Must be enrolled in a Human Resources certificate/diploma/degree or an equivalent. Solid problem solving and decision-making abilities. General proficiency with MS office programs including: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams.

To be successful in this role, we believe that you possess the following skills, competencies & characteristics:


Well-developed organizational skills with the ability to manage a variety of tasks. Professional demeanor whether in person, via email or on the telephone. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Ability to work well independently and as part of a strong team.

Salary range: $20 - $24 CAD per hour
