Job Description
WSS is seeking a full-time Cook to prepare and serve meals for up to 10 people (6 clients and staff) in a supportive residential setting. The Cook is responsible for following menu plans and budget, preparing advance meals for weekends/holidays, and maintaining a clean, organized kitchen that meets all food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and serve daily meals/snacks (breakfast, lunch, and supper). Maintain 3 - 5 days of frozen, prepared meals for coverage. Track inventory and place weekly food orders. Keep the kitchen and dining area clean and safe. Ensure clients have access to nutritious snacks. Save meals for night staff as required.
Qualifications
Previous cooking/kitchen experience (restaurant, institutional, or community setting preferred). Knowledge of safe food handling practices. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Strong organization and communication skills.
