Job Type: Casual (Days, Evenings, and Overnights)
Pay: $16.00/hour
Position Overview
:Community Health and Housing is currently hiring Casual Addictions Support Workers for our Withdrawal Support Services (WSS) program. This is a meaningful opportunity to provide compassionate care and support to individuals experiencing withdrawal symptoms.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct support and supervision to individuals during withdrawal Monitor, document, and report individual progress, behaviors, and any changes in condition Offer emotional support through active listening and a non-judgmental approach Maintain accurate and timely records of all interactions and services provided Assist with maintaining a clean and safe facility environment
Requirements:
Must successfully complete a Criminal Record Check and Adult/Child Abuse Registry Check Must be willing to complete all required training, courses, and workshops Lived experience and/or previous support work in addictions or mental health is considered an asset
