Job Description

A great cook should have a passion for cooking and be excited to learn new recipes and techniques. The ability to work in a team setting and provide input and ideas for future menus. Individual initiative and flexibility whilst creating and presenting the menu and recipes as directed consistently. Must be willing to learn and work with others. Excellent interpersonal communication skills.

This casual position will work with the executive chef and the kitchen team to prepare all food services provided in the building.

Professional culinary training or extensive food preparation experience required.

Red Seal Certification or equivalent would be an advantage. Current Food Handler Certification or willing to attain within 90 days is a requirement. Minimum 3 years experience with meal preparation and presentation techniques, in banquets or catering environment, would allow for transferable skills. Extensive knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation standards. Expertise in the use of kitchen equipment and tools. Excellent communication skills. Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.

Pay: $19.00-$20.00 per hour
