Do you love to cook 'soul' food? Then joining the Wallace Retirement Living Team may be a good fit for you. Among other daily services, our senior living residences provide fresh and delicious home-made meals twice daily to our retirement communities. In addition to having skills in preparing, cooking, and presenting meals, we are seeking an individual that would work well as part of a team dedicated to maintaining a safe, comfortable, and family-like environment for our clients.

Job particulars: 2-week rotation: 36-hours week 1, and 27-hours week 2. Includes shifts every other weekend with every other weekend off (Fri/Sat/Sun).

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards. Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner, maintaining high quality and presentation. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper food handling and storage practices. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service hours. Follow all health and safety regulations, ensuring compliance with food safety standards. Participate in menu planning and development as needed.

Experience

Previous experience as a Cook in a food service environment is preferred. Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques. Ability to work well within a team.
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $19.50-$21.00 per hour
