What you'll be doing:
Assist the Head Chef in daily operations, ensuring seamless teamwork and high-quality results.
Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Prepare, cook, and plate meals as indicated on menus.
Monitor food quality, presentation, and consistency to maintain our high standards.
Train, mentor, and motivate the kitchen team to achieve their best.
Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
Manage inventory and oversee food preparation schedules.
Collaborate with management to refine recipes, develop menus, and minimize waste.
Ensures the sanitary handling of dishes, food, equipment and cleanliness of related work areas.
Attends and participates in department and site meetings and/or in?services as appropriate.
Communicates effectively and fosters a positive working environment as a member of the team.
Works harmoniously within the team and collaborates with other departments of the Campus and service providers.
Performs other duties as assigned.
What you'll need:
Minimum 3 year's experience working in a commercial or institutional kitchen.
Certification from a recognized Food Handlers Training Course.
Strong leadership and communication skills with a team-oriented mindset.
Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships.
Mental and physical health to meet demands of position.
Passion for food and a keen eye for detail.
Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Valid Driver's License
Able to follow direction from multiple individuals.
