About the Role



As a Cook, you'll work behind the scenes to prepare and assemble menu items efficiently, safely, and to standard. You'll play a key role in kitchen cleanliness, food handling, and supporting smooth service flow during peak guest traffic. If you're dependable, organized, and take pride in doing things right, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities



Food Preparation & Execution



Prepare, portion, and assemble food items according to standardized recipes and specs.

Follow proper food safety and hygiene practices at all times.

Label and rotate product to maintain freshness and reduce waste.

Ensure food is hot, safe, and visually consistent before it reaches the guest.

Kitchen Operations



Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized work area.

Assist with daily setup and shutdown of the kitchen.

Restock workstations and communicate low inventory items to leadership.

Participate in cleaning tasks: dishes, equipment, surfaces, floors, waste handling.

Team Support & Communication



Work collaboratively with front-of-house and lead cook to ensure efficient service.

Stay calm and focused under pressure; step into different stations as needed.

Communicate clearly about prep levels, timing, and guest needs.

Qualifications



6+ months of kitchen experience preferred but not required (we will train the right attitude).

Able to follow instructions, recipes, and food safety protocols closely.

Reliable, punctual, and respectful with a strong work ethic.

Able to work on your feet for long hours and safely lift up to 50 lbs.

FOODSAFE Level 1 Certification (must be obtained before start date).

Experience with volume food production or quick-service restaurants.

Basic knife skills and station prep experience.

First Aid (OFA Level 1) or WHMIS training.

Work Conditions



Flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and early mornings.

Fast-paced, guest-driven environment with high-volume service periods.

Primarily indoor kitchen work with potential support for outdoor events or service stations.
