POSITION SUMMARY:

Our Cafeteria is looking for a dynamic and collaborative member to join our team! The Cook prepares and cooks a variety of dishes in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining high standards of food quality, safety, and cleanliness. This role is essential to delivering an excellent dining experience to our guests.

RESPONSIBILITIES:



Prepares and cook meals according to standardized recipes and menu specifications, while ensuring food is prepared in a timely and appealing manner. Follows food safety and sanitation guidelines during food preparation and service, while adapting to special dietary needs or allergies when preparing meals. Monitors food stock and placing orders, as needed. Sets up and stocks stations with necessary supplies. Assists with prepping ingredients in advance of busy periods. Disposes of expired or spoiled items according to policies. Interacts courteously with customers and responds to inquiries and/or special requests. Maintains cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including workstations and equipment. Assists in receiving and storing food deliveries. Support kitchen team with light prep or cleaning tasks as needed. Performs other duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS:.



-Academic



High school diploma or equivalent; culinary training or certification preferred.

-Skills & Knowledge



Proven experience as a cook or in a similar role Knowledge of proper food handling and sanitation procedures Ability to follow recipes, safety procedures, and sanitation guidelines Strong attention to detail and cleanliness Ability to work on your feet for extended periods Good time management and organizational skills Good communication and teamwork skills. Models professional attributes and the core values of CMCC, Collaboration, Accountability, Respect, Innovation, Nurturing & Growth ("CARING")
