Job Overview
We are seeking two experienced full-time Cooks to join our kitchen team in Kelowna, BC. The successful candidates will work in a fast-paced restaurant and catering environment, supporting daily food preparation and service while maintaining high standards of quality, efficiency, and food safety.
This position is ideal for skilled cooks with strong culinary experience who can work collaboratively in a professional kitchen and perform effectively during peak service periods.
Job Duties
Prepare and cook complete meals and individual dishes according to established recipes and standards Ensure food quality, consistency, and presentation meet restaurant standards Prepare ingredients, including washing, cutting, and portioning food items Maintain clean and organized workstations in accordance with food safety regulations Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures Assist with inventory management and proper food storage Work efficiently as part of a kitchen team during high-volume service periods Perform other related kitchen duties as required
Job Requirements
Completion of secondary school is required Minimum
2-3 years of experience
working as a cook in a commercial kitchen Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment Understanding of food safety, sanitation, and safe food handling practices Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment Strong teamwork and communication skills Ability to perform well under pressure during busy service timesJob Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $37.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 per week
Work Location: In person
