Type of Employment: Full-time-Seasonal/ 270-day contract

Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods Prepare and cook special meals for patients as instructed by dietitian or chef Schedule and supervise kitchen helpers Oversee kitchen operations Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment May set up and oversee buffets May clean kitchen and work area May plan menus, determine size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies May hire and train kitchen staff.
Requirements:
Education: Completion of secondary school
Experience:
Completion of a three-year apprenticeship program for cooks or completion of college or other program in cooking or food safety or several years of commercial cooking experience. On-the-job training will be provided.
Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding, Repetitive tasks, Standing for extended periods
Personal suitability: Reliability, Team player
Language: Basic level of English is required
Salary: $16.50 to $19.00 hourly, 40.00 hours per week.

Important Information:
The position requires flexibility in scheduling based on business needs. The work schedule is 7 am - 3:30pm; 12pm - 8:30pm; 4pm - 12:30am Weekend work and overtime will be required. Please note that we are located in a rural area.
