Job Summary

The Hungry Traveler Cafe is a new family-run cafe and eatery with a vision to bring the community together through nutritious food experience. We are a halal cafe and provide breakfast, lunch and brunch options as well as pastry and baked goods. We are looking for new team member who is passionate about local food and amazing customer service.

Responsibilities

Prepare food and beverages to standard recipes. Preparing sandwiches and breakfast items to order in a fast paced environment. Willing to help Front of the House and operate POS system and coffee equipment when needed Inspecting work areas, supplies, ingredients, and cooking equipment to ensure constant conformance to regulatory standards. Analyzing recipes and making menu changes when necessary to minimize overhead costs while keeping customers happy. Coordinating all food budgeting, purchasing, and planning operations with other members of the staff Monitoring and overseeing sanitation practices to ensure that employees strictly adhere to the standards and regulations of cleanliness. Perform many different tasks during each shift. Washing dishes, cleaning tables, sweeping, mopping, cleaning bathrooms etc. Sorting garbage, recycling, and compost

Experience

Knowledge of the standards and regulations for food preparation Plan Menus and help develop standardized recipes. Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions and request clarification when needed. Ability to work as part of a team. Must be able to lift 50lb (boxes of potatoes, bags of coffee, flour etc.)

Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour
