We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook to join our culinary team. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in meal preparation and ensuring food safety standards are met while contributing to an enjoyable dining experience for our guests.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and menu specifications.
Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and standards.
Assist in the planning of menus, taking into consideration dietary restrictions and preferences.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items.
Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages to management.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
Help train new kitchen staff on food handling procedures and cooking techniques.
Participate in regular kitchen meetings to discuss menu changes, special events, or improvements.
Qualifications
Previous experience in the food industry or food service is preferred but not required.
Strong knowledge of meal preparation techniques and food handling practices.
Familiarity with kitchen equipment and tools used in cooking processes.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
