CookOur King City store (located at Dufferin St & King Rd.) is now hiring a Cook to join our Hot Table/Kitchen Team!About UsCoppa's Fresh Market is a family-owned and operated grocery store chain in the Greater Toronto Area. • Cook a variety of meat, seafood, pasta and vegetarian dishes to be served to customers as to-go meals at our Hot Foods counter

• Prepare a variety of salads, sandwiches and cold dishes

• Greet customers and offer exception customer service; engaging and connecting with the customer to ensure that they have had a positive shopping experience

• Provide customers with information on our unique items, sales items and up-selling

• Share customer feedback with management

• Adhere to Food Handling Safety guidelines

• Maintain a clean and safe workplace, adhering to sanitation policies

• Additional duties as required

Job Requirements

• Previous experience working as a Cook in a grocery store or restaurant setting is required

• Food Handling Safety Certification is preferred

• Passionate about food and customer service; able to prepare diverse meals, approachable and enjoys helping customers

• Health and safety orientated adhering to food, safety and sanitation standards

• Excellent manual dexterity; comfortable standing, bending, walking and light lifting for long periods of time

• Open availability; must be flexible to work all shifts including days, evenings and weekends. Full-time positions available!
