Ontario Secondary School graduate or equivalent required. Graduate of a security administration/law enforcement program preferred.
Experience as a Security Officer (preferably in a Health Care setting).
Excellent organizational skills required.
Clerical and administrative experience an asset
Accurate computer keyboarding skills of 40 w.p.m
Computer skills required (Windows, Spideralert Manager 32, Millenium for Windows, Risk Pro Monitor)
Ability to use Pelco CCTV surveillance systems and DX7000 Series Digital Video recorded systems preferred.
Ability to communicate with the public and staff in a tactful and composed manner.
Ability to work well under pressure in high stress and/or emergency situations & co-operate with all Health Centre staff and patients.
Ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative, and establish priorities in a busy environment.
Superior investigative and problem solving skills.
Knowledgeable about emergency response procedures
Satisfactory attendance record as per the Health Centre\'s Attendance Management Program Policy SJ-08-01-08.
