We are looking for a Team Leader, Security Services!

Your key responsibilities will include:
 
Supervising the work of the Control Room Officers and the Security Officers, in order to ensure the safety and security of the museums assets, employees, buildings and visitors at both the Canadian Museum of History and the Canadian War Museum;
Organizing, deploying and supervising all allocated resources in such a way as to secure optimal performance and operational efficiency, and coordinating the Museum’s security services;
Be responsible to maintaining and improving the quality, consistency and delivery of security services;
Responding to emergency and disaster situations.
 
A minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience in:
 
Supervising security forces personnel, preferably in a unionized setting;
Coordinating a security team in emergency situations;
Using radio communication and computer systems for access control, closed-circuit TV (CCTV) monitoring and alarm response (such as: Pelco, Facility Commander, Genetec, Perspective or any other relevant security software and systems);
Incident follow up and producing incident reports;
Enforcing control measures;
A client facing institution and interacting with the public.
 
Knowledge of:
 
The principles of protecting material buildings, information and people;
Public safety and security procedures / protocols;
Site patrolling and all other standard security duties.
 
Conditions of employment:
 
Shift work of 12 hours (days, nights, weekends, holidays);
Valid driver’s license;
Being able to obtain a Level C Certificate in General First Aid and Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation;
Being able to obtain a Valid firearms Possession and Acquisition License (PAL).
 
Education: A College Diploma in Law Enforcement or other accredited professional training in security or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Compensation: $52,067 to $67,332 (E4)
 
Status: Permanent Full-Time Position
 
Location: 100, Laurier Street, Gatineau, Quebec and 1, Vimy Place, Ottawa, Ontario

Vos principales responsabilités seront :
De superviser le travail des opérateur(trice)s, Salle de contrôle et des agent(e)s de sécurité afin d’assurer la sûreté et la sécurité des biens, des employés, des bâtiments et des visiteurs du Musée canadien de l’histoire et du Musée canadien de la guerre ;
D’organiser, déployer et superviser toutes les ressources affectées de manière à optimiser le rendement et l’efficacité opérationnelle en plus de coordonner les services de sécurité des Musées;
D’être responsable du maintien et de l’amélioration de la qualité, de l’uniformité et de la prestation des services de sécurité;
De répondre aux situations d’urgence et aux catastrophes.
 
Minimum de 2 années d’expérience pertinente:
Liées à la supervision d’un personnel de sécurité, préférablement dans un milieu syndiqué;
Liées à la coordination d’une équipe de sécurité lors de situations d’urgence;
Liées à l’utilisation d’un système de répartition radio et de systèmes informatiques destinés au contrôle d’accès, à la surveillance par télévision en circuit fermé et à la réponse aux alarmes (par exemple, Pelco, Facility Commander, Genetec, Perspective et tout autre logiciel ou système de sécurité pertinent);
Liées au suivi d’incidents et à la production des rapports à cet effet;
Liées à l’exécution des mesures de contrôle;
Pour un établissement où des services sont offerts à une clientèle et une interaction avec le public est nécessaire.
 
Connaissance :
Des principes de la protection de matériels, de bâtiments, de renseignements et de personnes;
Des procédures et protocoles de sécurité publique;
De la patrouille de sites et toutes autres tâches de sécurité standard.
 
Conditions d’emploi :
Quarts de travail de 12 heures (jour, nuit, fins de semaine et congés fériés);
Permis de conduire valide;
Être en mesure d’obtenir un Certificat de secourisme général et de réanimation cardiorespiratoire de niveau C;
Être en mesure d’obtenir un Permis de possession et d’acquisition d’armes à feu valide.
 
Études: Diplôme collégial en techniques policières ou autre formation professionnelle en sécurité reconnue, ou une combinaison équivalente d’études et d’expérience.
