Afin de soutenir notre croissance continue, nous recrutons un(e) Responsable des contrats commerciaux au sein de notre equipe de developpement des affaires, a Nottingham ou a Montreal. Le Responsable des contrats prendra en charge un large eventail d'activites de soutien contractuel que l'equipe fournit a l'ensemble de l'entreprise. Le titulaire du poste jouera un role essentiel au sein de l'entreprise et nous permettra de realiser des recherches exceptionnelles en sciences de la vie pour notre vaste clientele nationale et internationale.

Responsabilites du poste :

Assurer la liaison avec les clients concernant la negociation, la redaction et la facilitation de la conception d'accords commerciaux solides. Etablir et maintenir des relations d'affaires efficaces avec les clients et les intervenants internes, en veillant a leur conformite avec les objectifs, les politiques et la reglementation sectorielle de l'entreprise. Negocier les contrats avec les clients concernant le contenu, la portee et l'efficacite de leur execution, identifier les risques et elaborer des solutions et des strategies. Fournir des conseils et des directives a ses collegues sur la portee et la nature des contrats clients. Aider le service tout au long du cycle de vie des contrats, notamment en developpant et en gerant les processus internes et en ameliorant les modeles de contrats. Attenuer les risques et l'exposition a la responsabilite pour l'entreprise conformement aux politiques et obligations de l'entreprise. Fournir, lorsque necessaire, des formations de sensibilisation sur les aspects commerciaux et contractuels a l'entreprise. Fournir un soutien a la gestion post-contractuelle.

Exigences du poste :

Un diplome dans une discipline pertinente, comme le commerce, le droit ou les sciences de la vie, est souhaitable. Une experience significative en gestion de contrats commerciaux, incluant la redaction, la revision et la negociation d'un large eventail d'accords. Une solide comprehension de l'elaboration de contrats commerciaux, des processus de propriete intellectuelle (PI), des accords de niveau de service (SLA), des procedures operationnelles normalisees (SOP) et de la prestation de services, idealement dans un secteur reglemente. Une experience eprouvee en negociation de contrats et en gestion des relations clients. Un sens des affaires avere, notamment dans des environnements complexes et multi-clients. Solides competences en gestion des intervenants, avec la capacite d'etablir et d'entretenir des relations de travail efficaces. Des capacites de planification et d'organisation tres developpees, avec la capacite de gerer plusieurs priorites. De solides competences analytiques et un grand souci du detail. Excellentes competences en negociation. Une maitrise des applications Microsoft Office, notamment Outlook, Word, Excel et PowerPoint, est souhaitable. Une experience pertinente dans les secteurs pharmaceutique, biotechnologique ou de la decouverte/du developpement de medicaments est souhaitable, mais non indispensable.

About the role


To support our continuing growth, we are recruiting a Commercial Contracts Manager as part of our Business Development team either in Nottingham or Montreal. The Contracts Manager will support a broad range of contract support activities that the team provides to the wider company. The role-holder will play a pivotal part in the business to enables us to deliver exceptional Life Science research for our broad range of domestic and international customers.

Role Responsibilities:

Liaise with customers regarding the negotiation, drawing-up and facilitating the design of robust commercial agreements. This will include, but not limited to, Letters of Intent, Contracts, Master Service Agreements and associated Work Orders, Confidentiality Agreements, Material Transfer Agreements, IP Assignments and Amendments to Contracts. Build and maintain effective business relationships with customers and internal stakeholders ensuring alignment with the company's goals, policies and industry regulations. Negotiate contracts with customers regarding content, scope, and effective delivery, identifying risks, develop solutions and strategies. Provide advice and guidance to colleagues on the scope and nature of customer contracts. Support the department with the full contract life cycle, including developing and administering internal processes and contract template improvements. Mitigate risks and liability exposure for the business in line with company policies and obligations. Provide commercial and contract awareness training to the business when necessary. Provide post-contract management support.

Candidate Requirements:

Degree in a relevant subject such as Business, Law, or Life Sciences is desirable. Significant experience in commercial contract management, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of agreements.

- Strong understanding of commercial contract development, intellectual property (IP) processes, SLAs, SOPs, and service delivery - ideally within a regulated sector.Proven experience in negotiating contracts and managing customer relationships. Demonstrated commercial acumen, particularly in complex, multi-customer environments. Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships. Highly developed planning and organisational abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities. Strong analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail. Excellent negotiation skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. * Relevant experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or drug discovery/development sectors is desirable but not essential.
