Intent of the process

A pool of essentially qualified candidates may be established through this process to staff identical or similar positions within the Department. These positions may be staffed on an indeterminate or temporary basis (term, casual).

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

Education:
A secondary school diploma or an employer-approved alternative such as an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience. Degree equivalency Experience:
Experience in the inspection and control of highway maintenance and/or construction.
Experience in safety practices and procedures for construction.
Experience in working with multiple contractors in maintenance setting.

Knowledge of safety practices and procedures.
Knowledge of Maintenance Quality Control.
Knowledge of operation and capabilities of highway maintenance equipment.

Asset Qualifications:
Knowledge of Highway Maintenance Procedures.
Ability to provide field inventory control (i.e. materials used on a highway maintenance
project)

Required to wear all applicable personal protective gear (i.e. hard hat and safety boots)
Required to travel in adverse conditions.
Required to work overtime.
Required to work shifts and weekends.
