THE ROLE:



The

Contract Geologist

will support Denison's Exploration team and will primarily concentrate on core logging activities in the Northern Athabasca Basin. Additional responsibilities will involve collecting, interpreting, and modelling field and subsurface data to further the development of Denison's flagship Wheeler River exploration claims, as well as other properties. This is a

fixed-term contract

with an expected duration of

12 months

.

The successful candidate must be willing and able to regularly travel and work on a 2-week on/2-week off rotation at a remote field camp in the Northern Athabasca Basin.



OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE



With progressive experience across all aspects of the mining lifecycle, the

Contract Geologist

provides field-based oversight of drilling operations. Additional qualifications and attributes include:

Bachelor's degree in Geology, Geological Engineering or equivalent from a recognized post-secondary institution is required. Ideal candidates should possess relevant work experience in mineral exploration or mining, with a preference for uranium experience. Experience with GIS applications and 3D modelling packages (Leapfrog, Vulcan, Surpac, etc.) is preferred, along with office productivity software, including Microsoft Office Suite and SAP, accompanied by a willingness to learn and use other technologies and software as required. Proficient organizational skills with a keen eye for detail and the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities efficiently and effectively. Strong interpersonal skills that support safe, collaborative and inclusive relationships with peers and contractors. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate, persuade and influence others. Adept at managing performance against key milestone deliverables. Strong problem-solving skills combined with a continuous improvement mindset to adapt in a dynamic and changing environment. Demonstrated ability to think critically and effectively evaluate and resolve complex problems. An uncompromising commitment to always working safely, and reporting hazards or unsafe conditions immediately. Possession of a Drivers' License that is valid and in good standing, and the willingness to operate/be trained to operate vehicles in remote areas is required; Experience driving an ATV is an asset.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:



Accurately log, photograph and sample drill core, including high-grade uranium mineralization. Ensure that all geoscientific data is collected accurately and stored appropriately. Coordinate drill pad and trail preparation, spotting and stopping holes, and rig moves. Collect wireline geophysical data upon completion of drill holes. Assist in the interpretation and modelling of the geological and geochemical results. Generate drill targets, collaborate on drillhole planning and permitting, execute drill programs, and ensure the collection of quality geological data. Complete data compilation accurately and in a timely manner to support continued and upcoming field program activities. Prepare written reports on program status and actively participate and contribute to status update meetings as required. Report any hazards, unsafe conditions, near misses, accidents and/or incidents immediately and report to work fit for duty. Exhibit best practices and behaviors related to both physical and psychological safety for oneself and colleagues by performing all responsibilities and tasks in accordance with the Company's established policies, protocols, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Perform other duties as assigned or as may be required.
